How Capptions Identifies Your Company (Not You)

This is a plain-language summary of our Legitimate Interests Assessment for Dealfront Web Visitors. For full technical and legal detail, see that document.

What we do

When you visit capptions.com, www.capptions.com, try.capptions.com or seveso.app, we use a service called Dealfront (formerly Leadfeeder) to see which company is visiting our website. This helps us understand which businesses are interested in Capptions so our sales team can follow up with the right organisations.

What we do not do

• We do not try to identify you as an individual.
• We do not know your name, email or phone number from this tracking.
• We do not use this data for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site profiling.
• We do not sell this data.

What Dealfront sees

• The company associated with your internet connection (looked up from your IP address).
• Which pages you visited.
• Files you download, videos you play and forms you submit on our public websites.

Before you make a cookie choice, Dealfront runs in cookieless mode: no persistent cookie or identifier is placed on your browser. Your IP address is shortened by Dealfront’s built-in anonymisation before it is stored.

Where we do it

Only on our production sites: capptions.com, www.capptions.com, try.capptions.com and seveso.app. Preview, staging and localhost environments are explicitly blocked from loading the tracker.

How long we keep it

• Data is retained while Capptions’ Dealfront subscription is active.
• You can ask us to delete it at any time — email privacy@capptions.com.
• Once deleted, backups are kept for 97 days and then permanently removed.

Your choices

You can stop this at any time:

1. Reject analytics cookies in the consent banner on our websites.
2. Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser — we honour it.
3. Email privacy@capptions.com with a request to stop or delete.

Why we think this is fair

We only look at which company is visiting — never at you personally. IP addresses are shortened, no persistent identifier is placed before you consent, and Dealfront is ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certified. You can object or ask for deletion at any time.
