Delft Offshore Turbines is a startup trying to reinvent the offshore wind turbine — taking out the generator and putting in a seawater pump. Founder and inventor Jan van der Tempel is building the technology with a small team, which means safety has to run on data, collected easily, from day one.

Before Capptions, incident reporting ran on digital forms — a Word document that had to be typed out, with all the mess that comes with it. Registration was difficult, and following up on incidents and improvements was harder still.

Prior to using Capptions we had digital forms, a Word document that needed to be typed out, with all the mess that comes with it — very difficult registration, but also follow-up of incidents and improvements.

Capptions to me is a critical piece of software that's easy to use when we want to create many reports. We want people to be safety aware and report what they're seeing — so it uses all the features on your phone: taking pictures, knowing the location. You just click, and then you have a report.
